Idaho Population and Age Distribution. Idaho’s estimated population was 1.6 million. The median age was 35.2 years. 27% of the population was under the age of 18, and 13% was 65 years and over.

Median Household Income. The median income of households was $45,489. The total number of households was 583,106 with an average of 2.69 people.

Idaho Employment and Unemployment Rate. 58.4% of the Idaho population over the age of 15 were employed which ranks 26th in the nation. The Idaho unemployment rate is 8.0% which was ranked 31st in the country.

Types of Employers. The types of employers in Idaho were as follows: 55,423 (7.8%) were self-employed, 111,123 (15.6%) were employed by the federal, state, or local government and 541,510 (76.2%) were employed by the private sector.

Top Five Industries. The top five industries by percent in Idaho were: Manufacturing (9.6%), Retail (12.2%), Professional/Administrative/Scientific (8.9%), Educational Services and Health Care (23.3%), Accommodations/Food Service/Entertainment (9.4%).

Occupations. Occupations for the population employed (over the age of 15) in Idaho’s private sector were: Business, Science, and Arts (32.8%), Service (18.5%), Sales and Office (24.4%), Natural Resources, Construction, and Maintenance (12%), and Production, Transportation, and Material Moving (12.3%).

Idaho Health Insurance Coverage. 84% of the civilian non-institutionalized population had health insurance coverage (16% had no coverage). Of those with coverage, 66% had private coverage and 30% had public coverage.

Disability. 12% of the civilian non-institutionalized population of Idaho reported a disability. The Idaho disability claim rate was ranked 23rd in the country.

Idaho Crime Data*

Total Violent Crimes. Idaho had 3,318 total violent crimes (which ranked 44th in the nation) and with a violent crime rate 0.21% (which ranked it 46th among all the states including DC & PR). Of the total number of violent crimes, 29 were murders, 479 were forcible rapes, 243 were robberies, and 2,567 were aggravated assaults.

Property Crime. Idaho had 31,651 total property crimes. Of the total number of property crimes, 7,186 were burglaries, 23,101 were larceny/thefts, and 1,364 were motor vehicle thefts.

Law Enforcement. Idaho had the 38th most law enforcement employees per population. Idaho ranked 44th in the nation for the most police officers per population.

Hawaii Employment and Unemployment Rate. 57.8% of the Hawaii population over the age of 15 were employed which ranks 30th in the nation. The Hawaii unemployment rate is 7.1% which was ranked 39th in the country.

Types of Employers. The types of employers in Hawaii were as follows: 44,911 (6.9%) were self-employed, 132,852 (20.5%) were employed by the federal, state, or local government and 469,292 (72.4%) were employed by the private sector.

Top Five Industries. The top five industries by percent in Hawaii were: Retail (12.4%), Professional/Administrative/Scientific (11%), Educational Services and Health Care (19.2%), Accommodations/Food Service/Entertainment (16.2%), and Public Administration (8.8%).

Occupations. Occupations for the population employed (over the age of 15) in Hawaii’s private sector were: Business, Science, and Arts (33.3%), Service (23.1%), Sales and Office (24.8%), Natural Resources, Construction, and Maintenance (10.1%), and Production, Transportation, and Material Moving (8.7%).

Hawaii Health Insurance Coverage. 93% of the civilian non-institutionalized population had health insurance coverage (7% had no coverage). Of those with coverage, 76% had private coverage and 31% had public coverage.

Disability. 11% of the civilian non-institutionalized population of Hawaii reported a disability. The Hawaii disability claim rate was ranked 39th in the country.

Occupations for the population employed (over the age of 15) in Georgia’s private sector were: Business, Science, and Arts (35.5%), Service (17.2%), Sales and Office (25.1%), Natural Resources, Construction, and Maintenance (9.1%), and Production, Transportation, and Material Moving (13.1%).

Georgia Health Insurance Coverage. 82% of the civilian non-institutionalized population had health insurance coverage (18% had no coverage). Of those with coverage, 62% had private coverage and 29% had public coverage.

Of the total number of violent crimes, 581 were murders, 2,124 were forcible rapes, 12,463 were robberies, and 22,423 were aggravated assaults.

Property Crime. Georgia had 338,329 total property crimes. Of the total number of property crimes, 86,789 were burglaries, 223,004 were larceny/thefts, and 28,536 were motor vehicle thefts.

Law Enforcement. Georgia had the 10th most law enforcement employees per population. Georgia ranked 6th in the nation for the most police officers per population.
