| Q2. |
Do I need to get permission from the person I wish
to perform an instant criminal background search on, before
I go ahead and perform it? |
|
|
|
|
| A2. |
As of now, criminal background records in the United States
are classified as “public records” and therefore you do not
need permission to perform a criminal background search. One
exception to this is in the case of employment screening, where
permission is generally required. In whatever work you do,
it always makes sense to keep abreast of all the new laws pertaining
to your field of business. We recommend you check with your
State and local laws before performing a criminal background
check. |

| Q3. |
What information is contained in an InstantCriminalChecks.com
report? SEE SAMPLE |
|
|
|
|
| A3.
|
A record typically includes the defendant's name, date of
birth, case number, date of offense, date filed, charge, the
parties involved, county and state of incident, description
of crime committed or accused of, alias names used by offender,
the status of the case, disposition, disposition date, sentence,
and unique characteristics of the individual including height,
weight, eye color, race, and sex and when available their pictures.
The information contained in a criminal background record report
will vary depending on the state or county being searched.
Regulations, rules and filing practices vary in each jurisdiction,
and as a result the information contained in a record from
one state/county in the country could significantly differ
from that in another. For instance, some states have pictures
available for criminals, which you would receive, while others
do not. |

| Q4. |
Will I be charged for a search that comes back with “no
records found”? |
|
|
|
|
| A4.
|
Yes. We have to charge our customers for the search regardless
of whether or not records are found, because we incur costs
every time we run a search. When your search is completed,
you will be either given the criminal records we found or told
that no criminal records were found. . |

and how many records were found, it typically takes between

| Q6. |
Why are some states not available on your site? |
|
|
|
|
| A6. |
Some states either do not have a statewide criminal data
repository or the data they do have is very poor in quality
and not worth using. We only use and offer statewide searches
in states that we have access to up-to-date and accurate information.
If we do not have such access and information, we do not promote
nor do we suggest using such a service. We have access to the
largest network of criminal background researches, investigators
and repositories in the United States . As new means of accessing
information become available, we will be the first on the Internet
to deliver it to you. As a warning, the criminal background
retrieval business is still in its infancy, and is not yet
up to par with such information as credit reports. You should
cross reference the information you receive from us, with other
information you trust to ensure a real match. |

| Q8. |
How is an instant statewide search performed? |
|
|
|
|
| A8. |
Most statewide searches are conducted through the use of
computerized repository systems whose data is updated on either
a daily, monthly or quarterly basis. Statewide searches are
only as reliable as the people updating the new data into the
central repository. A statewide criminal background check could
find records from anywhere in the state, records which wouldn't
be found just by searching in one county. To cover more ground
its best to perform a statewide criminal search. |
